MARK LUEBE
Lead Pastor
Mark grasped the Gospel at a young age as he heard his father preach to a group of college students just 9 days after the September 11 attacks in 2001. That night, he remembers the fear of death losing its power and gaining confidence in his salvation. Mark engaged in ministry from a young age, leading a Bible study and ministry in his home as a high school student. In college, he got connected with the Navigators at the University of Colorado at Boulder and continued to grow in his faith. Mark graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Communication and a minor in Philosophy in December of 2015. He did a church internship at his home church before graduating college and then took a job at the same church, Calvary Bible Church (EFCA), in Boulder, Colorado after graduation. Mark served for about 9 years at Calvary Bible Church. He worked in student ministry (2015-2021), Global Missions (2019-2024), Men's ministry at the Erie campus of the church (2021-2024), and had various opportunities to teach, counsel, and preach. Mark was ordained by his former church in 2018 and is currently licensed in the EFCA.
Mark married his wife Hannah in 2020. They have a two year old son and a baby daughter due in August. Hannah came to faith at Calvary Bible Church as a high school student and has since then pursued Christ faithfully. She loves being a pastor's wife and coming alongside women in their faith. She is an avid reader and a source of wisdom and joy to her husband and family. She is active in the church plant and she and Mark are constantly hosting people in their home.
Patrick Sobecki
Associate Pastor
Patrick was born and raised in Colorado Springs, but did not become a Christian until going to college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. It was there in 2012 he connected with the Navigators ministry, studied the bible for the first time, and came to understand and accept the Gospel. He also met Tina that year, the woman he would go on to date and ultimately marry in 2016.
Patrick finished his undergraduate degree at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis and was working part time for the Navigators in Minnesota while Tina was full time staff with the Navigators. After Patrick graduated in 2020, they moved back to Colorado to pursue ministry in Colorado. Patrick was hired as the High School Ministry Coordinator at Calvary Bible Church in Boulder and served there for three years while Tina continued her work with the Navigators before launching out to church plant.
They have two young children, whose extroverted spirits make hosting events at home a great time for all. The Sobecki passion for hospitality and raising up disciple-making leaders fits well with their call to church planting.
